Volunteer Opportunity: Codeathon Jr!

Codeathon Jr is a project organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Jaffna, made possible through the generous support of the IEEE TryEngineering grant. This unique initiative aims to introduce school students to the world of the Internet of Things (IoT) through a series of engaging training sessions and a thrilling makeathon competition.

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make this project a success. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting school students through hands-on IoT learning experiences. You do not need to have prior knowledge of IoT; all volunteers will receive a comprehensive one-day training session led by industry experts. This training will equip you with the skills and confidence to mentor students during the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in organizing and conducting IoT training sessions for a group of five school students.
  • Mentor students during the training and provide guidance on their IoT projects.
  • Support the makeathon competition at the end of the event, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for participants.
